Operation Christmas Child
You can make a difference in the life of a child! Our September Mission Project is Operation Christmas Child. Simply collect items for a child, place in an empty shoebox, and donate $7 to help cover the shipping. See Joyce Laseter for more details on how you can make a difference!
Donations of shoeboxes are needed. Please place all shoeboxes (with lids) in the Missions box located in the hallway.
Wednesday Night Suppers!
We all love the convenience of the delicious meals served on Wednesday Nights! This week, Brian Tiner is serving ham, green beans, mac & cheese, salad, desserts, and Beverages. Cost: Adults $4.00; Children (3-10 yrs) $2.00 and children under 3 yrs are FREE! Max-$15.00 per family.
Men’s Breakfast and Workday
Calling all men! Join us for a hearty breakfast and devotion this Saturday, the 11th at 8:00am, then it’s on to our projects!
2011 Budget
It’s time to begin our budget planning for Calendar Year 2011. Committee Chairmen should began to prepare their budget requests for next year and be ready to submit these requests at the Stewardship & Budget Committee on meeting September 13, 2010, 6:30pm.
Annual Senior Adult Fish Fry
The Altamaha/New Sunbury Baptist Association will hold their Annual Fish Fry for Senior Adults on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 4:00pm. Our host will be Fleming Baptist Church in Midway. There is no charge but all attendees are asked to bring a dish and a dessert to share! Entertainment is also provided. RSVP by September 9th by calling 876-4268.
Sunday School Leadership Conference
Our church is hosting Sunday School Works: Building a Great Commission Sunday School, on Friday and Saturday, October 15 & 16, 2010. Allan Taylor of FBC Woodstock, will inspire, train and motivate Sunday School leaders to be more committed to the Lord and to fulfilling His Great Commission! Watch this space for more details.

Our preschool dept is growing! We are in need of volunteers to serve once a month with our precious preschoolers! We have positions open in ALL classes during both services on Sunday morning, as well as Sunday evening. Beginning in August, we need Nursery available on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm-8:00pm to care for the little ones of those attending Awana/Bible Study/Service. Trip of a Lifetime
